Choose your accommodation in Ubud, Bali
For this trip to Bali, I was going with an 8-month-old baby, so I wanted a hotel or resort of a reasonable size and price with a breakfast buffet and facilities rather than an individual pool villa. Rather than deep in the jungle, I wanted a hotel located south of downtown Ubud for my next Nusa Dua itinerary. . And since it is a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite, there may not be any special benefits, but I still thought it would be good to use Marriott-affiliated lodging .
With 8 month old baby
Appropriately sized hotels and resorts rather than pool villas
Facilities such as breakfast buffet, swimming pool, spa, etc.
Located south of Ubud
Marriott affiliate preferred
There were four Marriott Bonvoy hotels located in the ubud area . These are Mandapa, Westin, Element, and Stala . We'll look at them one by one, but the mandapa was a bargain, costing at least 1.8 million won per night (...), and the Westin has a good kids program and is relatively good, but I passed on it because I was going from Nusa Dua. I had to choose between Element and Sthala, which cost around 200,000 won per night, and Element was located in the north, so I ultimately chose Sthala, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel .
According to several reviews, the rooms at the Stella Tribute Portfolio Hotel feel a bit old, but the breakfast buffet is good for the Ubud area . The swimming pool, spa facilities, and programs are well-equipped, and a shuttle bus runs to downtown Ubud and the Royal Palace . I had a lot of trouble with Element, but decided to exclude it because it requires going about 30 minutes further north than Stella. They say you have to go through downtown Ubud, but the traffic congestion is huge. I couldn't waste time in the car because I had a baby.
There are deluxe, family large, and suite room types, and I chose the slightly larger family room . I chose a spacious room without a view. Since I had a baby, my luggage tripled and the narrow deluxe room seemed like it would be difficult. I think you can tell about the room condition once you go.
